New feature: Missed it Mondays 

What is it?

Well…This one time I was watching this funny TV show.. it was.. I can’t really remember it but it was really funny. Then I had an idea for a dream vacation. I mean I had the spread, OK. The beach, the hotel. Then I wrote all this all of this down.  Wrote it all down, really wrote it, like 5 pages. Fucking lost it. 

Here’s the first installment. Get ready to weep.

1. Un-Taiwans, almost as cool as taiwans. Not all patent, but a gradient swoosh, and white, and crispy. These shoes don’t even have a price since you never see them. People drop coin for the real thing, but these guys are sleepers. Some guy meanwhile got away with them for $70 shipped, less than the price of the pair of dunks in any heavy tax state. If these were my size, I’d be crying in my Diet Pepsi.

2. New Balance MT580s. I’m not even sure what year these are from, or what series. There are definitely more of these than there have been Governor Generals. These are definitely loud, but they also go for about $300 new, so whoever copped these - they’re real, and rare, at size 11 - made out like a thief. Good for you, heatman!

3. DS Air Jordan IIIs, but from 1994. No one got a deal here; that’s not the way it works. But god damn if this isn’t a hot purchase. See that NIKE AIR on the back? Because I don’t see no damn Jumpman. If you told me in college that Jordan IIIs would be going for $400, I’d have spent my paychecks on Athletes World’s Black Cement IIIs that got returned  to Nike HQ (three pairs sold). As it stands, I don’t own any IIIs any more, and at this rate, I might not. But damn if I don’t get a law degree one day just so I can buy boxes like that whenever I want. If you have $400 to drop on sneakers, you might as well ball like a dogg.

Just watching this steelers game. Not much of a game*, here are some auctions:

Some Goldenrods. These are one of the better shoes from the OG be true to your school Dunk colorways (the only wearable colorways). They kind of got a little played out in 03/04 with the reissue, but the highs. The lows show up a lot less than the highs, which raises the cache of the shoe to something.

Is this dude for real? Mostly white air forces for $200 bucks? I’d wear these to an Imax movie, maybe get a $7 coffee with some premium gas in my Chrysler Town and Country. next.

THIS . A fucking great deal. Lava flows, the best ones have “son of lava dome” written in the baby box on the toe, and these are a level down, coming in at somewhere just above a good omelette or mislisted Jordans. The Baltoros took away a lot of the steam from all condition gear shoes but the flows remain strong.

This seller has a lot of cool stuff actually the guy selling the expensive Air Force IIs has a grip of priced heat. Much heat here: 2 pairs of OG low Barkley Alpha Forces, with the strap across the toebox and the basketball tongue. When they reissued these in 2004 they really dropped the ball on the little things, and demoted the shoe to like wack boring GR sneaker. Also check out his hot Knicks force heat, fake Nike approach’s (more lava than lava), even some Etonics and New Balances. Caveat emptor though, nothing under $100 after shipping. Oh and also if you’re bored scroll through the completed auction, you can print it out as a checklist.

* I stand corrected. This was a fine game between two teams I could not care less about. I was also impressed by the Celtics, I didn’t think they had it in them to be honest. Big Baby on fire in the last quarter. Antonio McDyess* was completely graved.

Legitimate heat for your shortie. Too bad they only come in men’s sizes, also too bad it seems only the ones sold in Berlin have hit ebay so far, and there are 216 pairs total in each of the two colorways.

These remind me of those Easter Egg 180s from a couple years back - they didn’t even make those in men’s size 6 - how am I supposed to c0p for my special lady lady friend?

Wish it came with this matching toothpaste.

Size US10, orange. My love affair with orange sneakers is long gone, but the gimmick of the matching toothbrush is making me reconsider.
